Liposuction
Liposuction is a significant surgical procedure performed under general anaesthesia for high‑volume cases. Through 3–4 mm incisions, cannulas are used to aspirate subcutaneous fat. It is not a weight‑loss method; rather, it refines contours in patients close to their ideal weight. A compression garment is typically worn for about three weeks. Most people return to routine activities after the first week, but final results may take up to three months. If redundant skin remains, liposuction can be combined with body‑lifting procedures such as tummy tuck, arm lift or thigh lift.
